Vernon Bailey - Field notes, October - November 1891 and January 1892

About the Project

When you spend a lot of time in the field, keeping your field notes in order is important. This is the first of two field books naturalist Vernon Bailey used in 1891 and 1892. It is largely comprised with notes of plant and animal specimens and their localities from Bailey's travels in Colorado and California during the fall of 1891. An interesting reflection while in Washington DC in January ends his notes in this book. The second book of this set covers his time later in the fall of 1891, then later in the year 1892. Team up with us to transcribe his field notes and gain a better picture of Bailey's collecting activities spanning the country in these two years.
