Devra Kleiman - Brazil field notes, February 1986

About the Project

Traveling through Brazil on a mission to conserve an endangered species may not be as glamorous as it sounds. Among conservation biologist Devra Kleiman’s experiences in 1986, she found animals in her hotel bed! Kleiman documents her work with local zoos and conservation centers working to save the golden lion tamarins native to Brazil. Join us in transcribing these field notes. Please join our volunteers in transcribing this field book and provide a richer background to the many articles she wrote about this effort. You can also learn more about what others are working on during Womens History Month at #DiscoverTCWomen.
