About the Project

Among the 50,000 specimens collected by the scientists on the expedition were soil samples were collected during the Smithsonian-Bredin Caribbean Expedition, 1956. The list is organized by location and includes corresponding sample number, a description of location and the date. Among the islands identified are Trinidad, Mustique, Bequia, Saint Lucia, Dominica, Barbuda, Antigua, and Virgin Gorda. Join fellow volunteers in transcribing the draft version of this short list.
