Proceedings of the Board of Regents Meeting held on January 27, 1986

About the Project

It’s 1:30 p.m. and you’ve already spent three hours at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. You want to keep exploring, but that pesky human condition called hunger is sending you for a snack. Unfortunately, the restaurant facilities at the museum are overcrowded and out-of-date, a problem Smithsonian’s Board of Regents discussed at their meeting in January 1986. Join a crowd of #volunpeers in transcribing their recommendations for food services and other issues facing the Smithsonian, including loaning “national treasures,” preparing for VIP guests, and helping rescue Mexico’s cultural artifacts after a devastating earthquake.
