Lilian Swann Saarinen (1912-1995) was a sculptor and architect who studied at the Art Students League with Alexander Archipenko in 1928, Albert Stewart and Heninz Warneke from 1934-1936, and with Carl Milles at the Cranbrook Academy of Art from 1936-1940. While at Cranbrook Academy, she met and married architect Eero Saarinen and worked with his design group on projects including the "Gateway Arch" in St. Louis.
