USNM Curators Annual Reports: Department of Mollusks, 1885

About the Project

Assembling a national research collection was not a task limited to North America. Honorary curator William H. Dall describes some exceptional mollusk specimens and shells from the North Atlantic, the Phillipines and Japan, all acquired in 1885. Help us transcribe this report and learn more about the people behind these acquisitions as well as a report from the New Orleans International Exposition exhibit.
