Doris Sidney Blake - Enclosures from Diary, 1941

About the Project

In the papers and photo enclosed in thirteen-year-old Doris Sidney Blake’s 1941 diary, the young student saved newspaper clippings that referenced her musical performances at school and with a singing teacher, a letter from a friend at camp, a list of what she received for Christmas, and more. Join a group of volunpeers in transcribing this short project, which provides a small glimpse into a young teenager’s life in the ‘40s.
