Doris Holmes Blake - Correspondence with Jack Donald Ullman, 1968-1977

About the Project

Doris Holmes Blake was a truly prolific correspondent with her loved ones, whether they were or were not part of her family. Her son-in-law, Jack Ullman, moved from one group to the other after his divorce from Doris's daughter, Doris Sidney Blake Ullman, in 1968. Both Jack and Doris took care to keep in touch, united by their love for their daughter and ex-wife, as her physical and mental health deteriorated prior to her death. Jack's letters to his former mother-in-law are sweet and tender, and their care for each other is clear. Join your fellow volunpeers in rediscovering this beautiful friendship, and adding more to the story of Doris Holmes Blake.
