Portrait Presentation: A Conversation with Alice Waters

About the Project

Alice Waters, founder of the restaurant Chez Panisse and the Edible Schoolyard, and champion of the Slow Food movement, speaks with chef and founder of the World Central Kitchen José Andrés. Recorded at the National Portrait Gallery's Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium on January 20, 2012. Her portrait, by artist Dave Woody, was unveiled later that evening and is now part of the National Portrait Gallery's collection. In association with The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. A video of the conversation between Waters and Andrés is currently located on the national portrait gallery's youtube page.
