Did you know that the Smithsonian began using photography to document its rapidly growing collection of artifacts, events, and exhibits as far back as the nineteenth century? A century later, photographers still used negative log books to help keep track of the Smithsonian?s visual history. Help us transcribe this log of 1990 and 1991 photographs to recover information from our endlessly fascinating visual past!
