In 1930, Francis Raymond Fosberg (1908-1993) graduated college with a degree in Botany and began working with the Los Angeles County Museum. A plant researcher for the museum, he concentrated on plants of the desert Southwest and islands off the coast of California. Two years later, he headed to Hawaii where he continued to focus on island flora. Please join with us and other volunteers transcribing his specimen logs from his early days collecting in the Southwest.
