USNM Curators Annual Report - National Gallery of Art, 1915-16

Did you know that the famous Francis Scott Key Bridge in Maryland, which opened in 1970, had its start more than 50 years earlier? And the origins of that bridge began with an exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Gallery of Art! The exhibition on bridge designs was one of many that was held in 1916--see what else went on display that year with this set of 1915-16 curator's reports from the National Gallery of Art!
