April 25th., 1939. Dear Mr. Hannen: I do want to thank you for the very complete information you have given me in your letter of the 13th., re the Moreau le Jeune gouache in Mr. John M. Schiff's collection. It was indeed kind of you to have taken so much trouble. As regards Sir Alec Martin's visit, I am sorry to say that we have hit so many snags, due to international conditions that prognostics are not too favorable at this present writing.
