4 Such tools, supplies, and spare parts as were deemed necessary to maintain the plane in flying condition and to provide for emergency repairs in case of accident were purchased in the United States and brought to Arabia with the plane. The airplane was dismantled and boxed by the Bellanca Company and delivered by them to the ship side. [[underlined]] Photographic Equipment [[/underlined]] consisted of one aerial camera, a Fairchild K-3, fitted with Ross Xpress Wide Angle lens of ten inch focal length f/4 maximum aperture. The camera was used one and was completely overhauled by the Fairchild Company before acceptance. This camera makes a picture approximately seven by nine inches on roll film. It accommodates a seventy-five foot roll of film, sufficient for about one hundred ten exposures at one loading. A Smith-Fairchild developing machine was used for developing the aerial films. This is a small, motor driven machine which requires only three gallons (U.S.) of developer per roll.
