May 18, 1939 277 Park Avenue Dear Germain: I didn't expect to bother you so soon with business but I have just had an inquiry about an inexpensive Gothic tapestry. It may not amount to anything--those things often peter out as you know; but I did think it was worth asking if you happened to have any unimportant piece in stock of decorative value of a late Gothic type which could be sold around $7,500 or $8,000. It should be horizontal in format preferably, 6 to 8 feet high, and about 8 or 9 feet wide. If you haven't anything, don't waste your valuable time answering me; but if you should have, a photograph would help. Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday, Sincerly, Phyllis ^[[5 high 6 wide.]] Mr. Germain Seligmann 3 East 51 Street New York, N.Y.
