Bureau R. F. and AL. Office Asst. Sub. Asst. Comm^r. Edenton. N.C. Dec. 11th 1867. Lieut. Col. Jacob. F. Chur A.A.A. Gen. Bu. R.F. and A L. Raleigh. N.C. Colonel: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Circular Letter from the War Department Bu. R.F. and A L. dated Washington. Nov. 28th 1867. If it should be deemed necessary to retain my services in the Bureau as Civilian Agent. I am not only willing but desirous to remain, as it will be very inconvenient for me to remove my family north at this season of the year, and perhaps difficult - with my disability- to obtain a situation. Very Respectfully Your Obedient Servant. C. W. Dodge 2d. Lieut. V.R.C. and A.S.A. Comr.
