L. 134. Headquarters Post of Goldsboro Goldsboro N. C. Feb 17th 1868 To. Bvt Lieut. Col. Jacob F. Chur, A A Adjt Gen Bu. R. F. and A Lands State of North Carolina Sir I have the honor to report for the information of Bvt. Major Gen. N. A. Miles USA. Asst. Commissioner of Bu. R. F and A Lands for State of N Carolina that if my proposed Roster of Beats for Agents of the Bureau within this Military Post is approved, that I deem it important that an Agent be placed in charge of the 4th Beat. (Northampton and Halifax Counties) at once; and respectfully recommend that 2nd Lieut S. Soper 40th Infantry be temporarily assigned to it and 2d Lieut & Bvt Capt. A. W. McKillips V. R. C. be assigned to the 9th Beat. composed of Pitt and Beaufort Counties I am Very Respectfully
