[N 53] Fair Ground Hospital Raleigh N. C. Sept 16th 1867. Col. I have the honor to state that yours of the 14th in relation to Agness and Lou Wilkison freed people wishing transportation, is received, and I would respectfully report. 1st They report themselves as destitute of means to pay for transportation. 2d Husbands name Tom Ross, Agness Wilkinson left Danville Va about 20 years since, and has not seen Ross in that time. She has been married in Geo, and Lou her daughter, is the daughter of her Geo husband, and is about 16 years old. 3d Tom Ross, lives about Five miles from Danvill Va she is informed. 4th She is informed that her former husband, Tom Ross is down with the Chronic Rheumatism and wants her help.
