[[preprinted]][[underline]]GRAND HOTEL DES VOYAGEURS B. JOYEAU, PROPRIETAIRE CONCARNEAU TÉLÈPHONE 13 [[/underline]] [[/preprinted]] August 14th '09 My dear Grace. I was very glad to get your letter this morning. Yesterday I thought a letter from you would arrive, in the morning instead of working I waited for the letter carrier, felt very blue because there was nothing for me, especially so last night, thought that perhaps you would arrive last night waited for the train, but my mate did not come. When I opened your letter this morning the first thing to catch my eye were my to card, my first thought was that perhaps you were angry ets, wondered why you should send them back to me; after reading your letter I decided you must have put them in the letter by mistake. Telegraphed you because a letter would probably take a day or more to reach you, also because I did not write to you on Thursday night or last night, and you would wonder why I did not write. Miss. Cockcroft left for Paris tonight. I shall move our things to the new place on Monday; took some of my canvases around this afternoon. Paid two hundred-fifty francs on our bill today, do not know what the total will be: told Mrs. Joyeau that I would give her the rest of it latter. She said it would be alright and said in her usual nice way "bon "bon.
