The barking of the Douglas setter must have got too much for Mrs. D. I noticed yesterday that the dog had a tight strap around her muzzle. We appreciate the comparative quiet. Peggie's father works hard every Sunday lugging away baskets of dirt in his truck and evidently dumping them somewhere. We suspect that he may be building an addition to his house. Bobbie's father was also working was sand and cement bricks today. Morrison has been away on vacation in Miss. for 3 weeks and is due back tomorrow. We all hope the vacation has rested him. Killip had a housewarming at his newly painted rooms in the Smithsonian Friday after work & mother & I went. There were sandwiches, olives, pickles, ice cream, little cakes, & some pink punch that wasn't up to the rest of the entertainment. Mother & Paul Russell got there before I did and put aside an ice cream and a supply of food for me. Sophie was there and old Dr. Fisher, Wetmore & Maxon, & lots of others. Maxon called up this morning and was quite disgusted to find I wasn't up (at 9:30). I called him back later & found he wanted get the name of the Cowbird to label up some eggs he got 50 years ago. Then he called me again to get the scientific name of the Robin (this time I gave him the wrong one.) Hope that everything is going well with you. I enclosed check for $15. Love, SFB
