Arlington, Va. 30 Oct, 1947 Dear Doris: Billy Dodge, Pat Grainger, Eric Nordholm and a young married couple are the ones going up this weekend to sail with Tech. boys. They go on the Federal Express tomorrow night and return Sunday night. They will put up somewhere in M.I.T. Tech - cots provided. Billy fully intends to hunt you up, and is planning to try to telephone you so as to get in touch with you. I tried to tell that you were going to a dance late Sat. night, but probably not till 9.30 or 10 and would have time to see him and others before it and maybe show them about a little. He wasn't home when I telephoned over this evening but his mother said he was planning to come over tomorrow before leaving to ask your address, etc. (I gave it to his mother tho). You will be his only "social" occasion, so do your best to entertain them properly when they come. It is too bad you have that other engagement, but maybe you can work it all right. Be nice to the visitors, anyhow and don't neglect them. I don't believe you can make any dinner engagements - they will be taken care of at Tech doubtless. I think you will probably have them from 7-9 Sat night. I told his mother for him to try to telephone you before the 9 o'clock class (8.45 A.M.), but don't know as he will get in, in time for that. Be on hand for him to call you late in the evening - about 5-6 anyhow, leave word so he can get in touch.
