Eugenia would be named before long, but no - Well it is better to want than to take the wrong man. The "Herald" has given much of the news of the Suttman Case, how can a woman dishonour herself & her children in this way, her she has always been crazy, & now Mrs Blake comes in! The first Mrs Blake would not give the divorce & when she did, & the news was called to Dr. B. he at once went to get them papers & then he & Mrs. Macky were married before the child was born.- As to Mr S's Mother she had a child by an actor, & her father-in-law Mr. Potter left his grandaughter money in his will, as the only child of his son. J. B. Potter Jr it was in the family. I think the sympathy is for the husband. It is the children I am sorry for. This mornings news from England is better & if the strike takes place it will stop the sailing of vessels, as it is the trains are so crowded that two weeks ago I got the last two places in 2nd class for the servants, the English are hurrying home while they can get there. I see nothing hopeful, as to prompt settlement of convetins in The World, but there must be plenty of money somewhere as The Eastern are moving to near Gent, so jeweler must be selling. John Waddington told me that your Mother would be down here or rather up here on her return from Jersey & that she had said she would come up to see Mrs Hayes & me, I am afraid she will come & that I may miss seeing her in Paris, which will be a real disappointment. I am so glad to have all
