Transcription
was quite fascinating - a sort of studio with studies by the men pupils hanging about - palms, canopies, and all the rest - a person in a brown linen apron, and frowse of champagne dyed hair, over her head and down her back - red lips, and powder, was very voluble and polite, also Mr. Julian who arrived shortly - I gave him Nellie Hale's letter, and he Oh'd & Ah'd over it - and asked us to come tomorrow, and see it all - had heard of me before etc - very flattering - So this morning we went - Altho St. Honoré rue there is a good light -, and all quite comfortable - just one room - Mr Julian was there - It is Bougucreau's [[Bouguecreau's]] month there - Robert-Flury [[Robert-Fleury]] begins the 1st of March - & I want him - The old Julian's has several ateliers, the _ life class, a class for the head, and draped models - also a queer studio
