4. NASA has produced a set of lithographs of EarthKAM images, complete with annotations. If space.com would like to put those on their site, EarthKAM will make the original images available. 5. Space.com will develop the part of their site that presents the images and activities. This should look as much like the EarthKAM site as is reasonable, (i.e. use the same world map for geographical interface, etc.). EarthKAM will help by providing information on file types, functionality, etc.. The world map used by EarthKAM is not in the public domain. Space.com will choose whether to pursue a license. 6. During STS-99, EarthKAM will process the images as they come down from the shuttle and select an image or two each day to transfer electronically to space.com. Space.com should specify the file formats or sizes desired. If EarthKAM is unable to provide the desired format, space.com will perform the conversion. 7. EarthKAM and space.com will discuss arrangements that would enable these live images to be captioned appropriately for the space.com site. 8. Space.com has permission to use the chapter in the EarthKAM teachers' guide entitled "The Space Shuttle". The format can be modified to fit the space.com template. EarthKAM should be given credit, and will have right of final review of content. 9. The space.com site will include a brief (approximately 1 page) description of EarthKAM. EarthKAM will provide this description, which Space.com can format and edit as appropriate. EarthKAM will review the final content. Possible collaboration between EarthKAM and Space.com in the timeframe beyond STS-99 will be covered in another agreement. The EarthKAM images and captions provided as part of this agreement can reside on the space.com site indefinitely. Other possible uses of those images, however, would be covered in future agreements.
