'envoys' - a life sized copy of the '[[?]] [[preudezin]]' - which is either in the same room or the next one. You could'nt find a better nor a more suitable man. I did'nt see this copy - but some others - and I know it would be all right - I couldn't think of going down to Rome to see it - There is a fair copy by [[B?]], of the School of Athens, somewhere in Paris - Beaux Arts probably. You might compare it with that. I've seen more [[?]] than I can paint in five years - and it behooves me to get rid of some of it - and my official duties take me to town more than they did. We've a house there now - Chelsea Lodge, Tite St - where we spend some months in the early part of the year - not more months than we can help - I can't work in town - and people bother me. Our united very kind regards to Mrs.
Notes on Transcribing this page (optional)
In Paris, there is a reproduction of Raphael's painting entitled "School of Athens" in the found in the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. The copy was painted by Paul and Raymond Balze. But the writing here doesn't appear to say Balze.
