UNITED CHINA RELIEF - OFFICE MEMORANDUM To Miss Le Ya-ching Date February 23, 1942 From Edward M. Ballin Subject Trip to Grand Rapids Leave LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday, February 25th, at 12 Noon via United Airlines. Arrive in Cleveland, Municipal Airport, at 2:55 P.M. Leave Cleveland at 3:05 P.M. via Pennsylvania Central Airlines. Arrive in Detroit at 3:44 P.M. Leave Detroit via Penn. Central at 4:30 P.M., arriving in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at 5:58 P.M. or Leave LaGuardia Airport via United Airlines at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. Arrive in Chicago at 1:00 P.M. Leave Chicago via Penn Central at 3:15 P.M. Arrive in Grand Rapids at 5:14 P.M. Reservations have been made on both these flights and tomorrow we can cancel the one that is least satisfactory. The United China Relief contact there is Mr. Frank J. Timmens, one of the lend-lease men. The address we have for him is: Dodge Division, 7900 Joseph Campeau, Detroit, Michigan. The other contact in Grand Rapids is Dr. Milton McGorrill, Fountain Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan, You have been invited to attend a luncheon of War Chest Board Members on Thursday, and a UCR dinner on Thursday night, February 26th.
