Mr. Wood noted that United States military priorities in some instances have forced postponement of relief shipments to China. "However", he said, "we have been assured in conferences with United States Government officials that it is important for United China Relief to provide essential drugs and medical equipment for the Chinese people. "Shipments now are going through in substantial volume.
