he got on top of her and kept her she dont know what is meant by entering her being asked by counsel Murry if he put his thing in her body she replied yes sir after he the said Whitey alias Hughes had done ill to her as long as he wanted to he got off of her and asked her the said Catherine Hawkins if he was the first man she ever had and then got on his horse and rode away and carried his pistol away with him the said Whitey alias Hughes did what he wanted to her against her will she went on home and told her husband what was done to her being asked if he hurt her she replied that he did not hurt her only her feelings and done what he wanted by force the question being asked if she resisted after her clothes were pulled up she replied that she did resist all the time she says that she is between twenty one and twenty two years of age and never before her marriage had any intercourse with any man and never since with any man but her husband she says that it was nearly dark and she could not have recognized [[strikethrough]] her husband [[/Strikethrough]] any ordinary acquaintance further than 20 feet she never saw the said Hughes before or after the occurrence until the present time as she knows of she stated that herself and Hughes were together in the road about a half an hour when she first met him she could not have recognized an acquaintance across the room he told her if she opened her mouth he would kill her after Hughes got her on the ground
