119[[right top corner]] April 13 1889^[[7747]]. All residuals in O.C of 6 or more are entered in Table in Book 27 p 50-80. A second measure was made of each. If diff. of two measures rounded[[??]] 4, spectrum was examined to see which was right. First measure always wrong except for star at RA 16^[[h]] 27.2^[[m]] + 80° 13'. Plate 1386. Wrong reading rejected in all other cases, and residuals taken again. [[Ruled?]] Table any seen residuals stars found greater than 5. Group all residuals greater than 5 thus found on in which [[strikethrough]] first [[/strikethrough]] second measures copied with first, according to Plate numbers, and compared. July 31,1889 ✓ Examine each DM. zone in D.C. and see that DM. numbers follow in regular order. Make notes where they do not and examine DM. Catalogue for identification and reduction to 1900. This examination is made to prevent stars being entered in wrong hour in D.C. [[left margin]]Make add. table to follow Table IV Vol XXVII. [[/left margin]] Catalogue examined for [[strikethrough]]residuals of[[/strikethrough]] two measures on same plate giving [[strikethrough]]resid[[/strikethrough]] diff. of 7 or greater. Examined also for stars on two plates where diff. is 9, 10, or 11 in the latter case the resid of 5 only to be measured as all of 6 and greater have already been measured A note on presence of F line being questioned. Vol XXII Ref. to Comparison with Dimer.
