BUREAU OF REFUGEES, FREEDMEN & ABANDONED LANDS, Office of A.S.A.B [[strikethrough]] Agent [[/strikethrough]] Sub-District of Hillsboro', Hillsboro', N. C., May 23, 1868. Dr H. C. Vogell, Agt Bu RF & AL, Raleigh, N.C. Dr Sir, I have the honor to enclose for collection two a/cs of Thomas Lyon & Henry Williams (F) against Mr. Bradshaw (first name unknown.) He lives at or near Holly Springs some four miles from Raleigh. He directed a Mr. Macauley living near here to deny the a/ct but he refuses, allowing that Bradshaw is indebted to him.
