IB 46 H Mount Pleasant March 16th 1869 Maj. Neide, Dear Sir, I have been in communication with Maj. Stone in regard to building a school House in Mt. Pleasant near Charleston, but I hear he has been ordered to Louisville, Ky therefore I shall have to look to you for information upon the subject. I have money with which to purchase a suitable lot that can be held by trustees according to whatever is the existing law or orders for such matter. Is there money that can be obtained for the erection of a building if the lot is secured? The building that is now being used is a dwelling for which the Government pays $20 per month. The school here is large and has been established since 1865. The report will show a good average attendance the year on around. Can I hear from your [[strikethrough]]A[[/strikethrough]]
