Miss A Reh - in INDEX, Part I, p. 21. L. H. Whittelsey - he was at a post in Brashear City, Louisiana at least in 1864, 1865 - during the time of this letter. He was a Lieut Col., and Asst. Pro Marshal at sometime during the War. So he was important.
