I happened to call to see one of the Teachers who was sick, and then for the first time I heard of the meeting. It was then impossible to have the witnesses present, in face Mr. Tucker openly said he did not want them. I know that for his desire was to hush the who matter up. Mr. T. sent for Mr. Whiting, Mr. Rogers and Miss Hawkins and they could give but little information. Chaplain Underwood Adjutant Slater, Miss Cox, and Miss Hall, who would have given information to change the whole aspect of affairs were not present, as it was never intended they should be. Captain Chapman who admitted he know nothing at all about the case conducted it. Now as I had made the charges it was but proper that that I should be allowed to examine any witnesses myself-but no-I must leave the room and so the inquiry has terminated as anybody could have seen it would when it commenced. I spoke to Mr. Tucker today about him giving me so short notice in the matter and his reply was it was intended that it should be so. For the present however, I shall remain satisfied with the assurance that my brother Teachers give me that I have done my duty, and the fully and freely expressed opinion of those who were witness to the mode of conducting the Inquiry that a more one sided and partial one never was made. I am thoroughly disgusted with Mr.
