B of R F and A L Col I have the honor to inform you I have investigated the within case of Mrs. L S Pettaway and find She has the following Personal Property one House three Cows 9 Hogs. and about 200 acres of land Eight Children in family one young man about 20 years of age young Lady 18 years of age and the remaining Six Still younger Mrs L S P has lost Some Stock By the opperations of the US Forces Also Some Bacon Mrs P had about 1000 lbs Bacon and about 8 Bushels Corn Very Respectfully Your Obt Servt Spencer Smith Lieut and Asst Supt
