75 Asst. Comr. Ky & Tenn July 20" General I have the honor herewith to transmit list of "abandoned property". Chiefly dwellings & stores in and about Nashville, and for which the Treaty Dept. through its special supervising agents, has been receiving rents. This class of property is now moderately productive, and if not returned to former owners will create a fund that will materially aid us at this point - The agents of the Treaty Dept are very slow in complying with the order for Transfer of property & funds-: but I hope at the end of this month to be able to render a report of what can be relied upon for revenue in this District. Very Respectfully Your Obt. Servt Clinton B. Fisk Brig Genl Asst Comr Maj Genl Howard Comr &c Washington DC
