Head-Quarters District of New Berne, New Berne N.C., November 24th 1865. SPECIAL ORDERS, } No. 88. } (EXTRACT.) II. Capt W.H. Wheeler A.Q.M. will immediately turn over to the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands so much of the Property of E.W. Ellis Esq'r Citizen as is included in Lots No 37 & 38 German St near Front St. also Lots 236, 237 238 & 239 German Street, and lately used as stables and corrals. They being no longer necessary for the use of the Government. BY COMMAND OF BVT. BRIG. GENERAL D. BATES. Henry [[Halloran? Hallam?]] [[Dept? Captain??]] A.A.D.C. & Act. Asst. Adjt. Gen. Capt Sealy.
