ANTONIO M. FERNANDEZ AT LARGE-NEW MEXICO STAFF ROBERT C. McCONNELL SECRETARY LYDIA SALAZAR TAFOYA MARGARET VALDEZ ASSISTANTS Congress of the United States House of Representatives Washington, D.C COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC LANDS SUBCOMMITTEES: PUBLIC LANDS IRRIGATION AND RECLAMATION MINES AND MINING INDIAN AFFAIRS TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS November 15, 1947 Hon. N. B. Johnson, President NCAI District Court of the State of Oklahoma Twelfth Judicial District Claremore, Oklahoma Dear Judge: Since writing you yesterday, I have become convinced that the activities of the special session will be limited to the two problems of aid to Europe and provisions to curb inflation and that no other legislation will be taken up. If this turns out to be the case, I can fly to New Mexico and be at your convention on Saturday, the last day of the convention. As I am intensely interested in Indian affairs, I will be more than pleased to accept your invitation to address your convention on the morning of December 6. With kindest personal regards and best wishes for a successful meeting, I remain, Sincerely yours, [[Sign]] Antonio Fernandez Antonio M. Fernandez F:mv
