Col, I have the honor to inform you that I have selected Two block houses one situated on Henry W. Thomas place and the other on Wm. Seger's place, each one contain about thirteen or fourteen thousand feet of lumber. they will make excellent quarters for the freedmen. the stone house situated on the county lot contains about four thousand feet and can be converted into a school house for the freedmens children. a commity has already sent me a list of one hundred names of the children who are large enough to atend school. It will be necessary to have about fifteen or twenty thousand feet extra, besides the block houses, to build extra quarters and we can sell them as soon as they
