I have living in Westmoreland Va two negroes, man Michael and his wife [[Nanny?]]. I believe them, to be about ninety years of age. They are very infirm, and totally unable to provide or take care of themselves Their children left them at the begining of the war and do not know where they are. My Sister Mrs Rogers, has two men, Colored, one, by the name of James, and the other William Gordon. They are in the neighborhood of Ninety years of age - and are living, at Spricey [[Spruce?]] Groves, Westmoreland County Virginia, They are living on the Estate of Mrs Robert Murphrey near Westmoreland Ct House They are wholly, unable to provide, for themselves, I have no children to take care of them. I make this statement for the purpose of having the Freedmans Bureau take measures to provide for them Sarah A. Richards Washington DC April. 2d 1866
