Before me personally appeared the undersigned Mollie Davis and being duly Sworn deposes as follows: My name is Mollie Davis. I live in the City of Memphis Tenn on Gayosa Street. On the 3" of May 1866 Policeman Clark sent word to me to look out that Policeman Eagan and his crowd were after me and going to burn my House. I left the house that evening afraid to stay there during the night This morning I came back and found my house burned and all I had in it. I asked Policeman Louy this morning if he knew who set fire to my house he told me it was Policeman Eagan. He was seen trying to set it on fire the night before by Ellen Brown.
