Macon Ga April 13th 1866. General Tillson, Agent Freedmen's Bureau, Asst Commissioner. Dear Sir Extract * * * * Just a day or two ago one Tom Knight shot a freedman who died in fifteen hours after he was shot. the said Knight is now let loose to run at large who has been the murderer of two men. * * * * Yours truly W.
