were no urgent work to require his detention on the farm; And an other case of lost time was the farm freedmans Mother who was confined to her bed six weeks unable to wait on herself, and I let one of her oldest daughters wait upon her until she could do it herself; These were two of the heaviest losses; but numerous others which only amount to a day or so at a time when added together, make an itim worthy of consideration, and as such I humbly beg of you General to give it a thought, and call the Captains attention to it, if you please. The time for a settlement of my notes, which I gave to the freedmen expires on the 10th of July and I would humbly and respectfully beg of you to have the matter seen to, before the expiration of the above time, Hoping that the above will give no offence, and sufficiently illustrate the case for your consideration I close, Your most Obedient servt. G. A. Burton Thomasville Thomas county, Geo.
