States that Genl Sewall from some cause has received an unfavorable impression in regard to her Institution. | | Dec 2nd. 1868. #363. | Columbia Dist. of C. H. Howard, Genl. | Washington Nov 28th. 1868. Forwards letter of J.A. Remmington S.A.C. relative to the claim of Benedict Dorsey late Co "D" 38th. U.S. C.T. for state bounty, and invites attention to report of Capt. Vonschirack, stating that Dorsey's Discharge is on file at Annapolis, Md. as the basis of a claim until proper papers could be executed. Requests that Dorsey inform him whether he has given F.P. Stevens a power of attorney revoking the one given at that office. Stevens having filed his claim with an order on the Bureau for his discharge, making two separate claims for the same bounty. which will result in the rejection of both. &c &c. | | Dec 10th. 1868. # 314. | Callis Jno B.
