MARCO POLO [[logo]] travel books, maps, & accessories 6-26-00 Dear Jack__ I am Roland's cousin and have been very involved in getting this book on his work published. I personally want to thank you for the absolutely terrific introduction you wrote. So eloquent. So informative. So lovely to read. I especially appreciated the way you were able to place his work not just in the Northwest context but the global context. It was terrific. Roland was especially pleased & very appreciative. It's hard for him to write now & he's quite tried most of the time so chances are you won't hear from him, but as a member of Roland's family, I just wanted you to know how very much we appreciate your kind & intelligent words__ Sincerely, Laura Ingham P.S. If you have the opportunity, I know Roland would enjoy hearing form you 360·424-6634. If you want additional copies, signed or not, I'd be happy to send them to you.
