69 [[symbol checkmark]] #33 Ferry Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, November 13th, 1907. Frederick J. Flagg, Esq., 420 The Valentine, Toledo, Ohio. Dear Sir:- Your note of the 12th instant, addressed to Colonel Hecker, was by him handed to me, and I am pleased to reply. I returned from the Orient late in July, last. Shortly afterwards I was called to England and France, from whence I returned three weeks ago. Because of the short time I have been at home, little opportunity has been afforded for studying the Collection of Korean pottery formerly owned by Dr. Allen. Thorough examination of the lot was made only last week. The result of its study has given me much gratification. I am delighted with the quality of many of the pieces and interested in all. Colonel Hecker has kindly told me of the negotiations had with yourself and Dr. Allen, and says that it was understood between yourselves that after I had seen this Collection, if I felt it of sufficient importance, I was to consider increasing the price of the Collection from
