NARA 073 Greene O.D. Major U.S.A. & Asst Adjt Genl Endorsement on communication from G Greene of Springdale Miss requesting that a constable be appointed for beat No 7, Lafayette Co. I recommend that the appointment be made as requested R.A. Hill Judge Bureau Refugees Freedmen & A L Sub Dist of Oxford Miss Oxford June 11th 1867 See L.R. V.1. S.D.O.1867 Respectfully referred to Major O.D. Greene Asst Genl Fourth Military district and attention invited to recommendation of Judge R.A. Hill U.S. Dist Court Ed B Rossiter Lt Bvt. Capt Sub Asst Comr Maj A W Preston A.A.A. Gen Endorsement on communication from Thad K. Preuss Agent Bu. R.F. & A.L. directing him to make out a report of persons and articles hired form 2. and make out sign and forward receipt roll, for the month of June 1867. By Order of Bvt Maj. Gen A.C. Gillem Asst Comm. A.W. Preston Capt V.R.C. & Bvt Maj. U.S.A. A.A.A. General A.W. Preston Maj. & A A A Gen Endorsement in communication from Thad. K. Preuss Agent Bu.
