April 12, 1938 To Bull Run Mts..with John A. Stevenson and Mrs. E.B. Lambert. south of Aldie 6 miles - west of Corum's place near old apple tree at house site. Morels here out in abundance but in immature condition - dark mouse color. - conic form. All cyperaceae in this book identified or checked by Dr. F. J. Hermanns of U.S.D.A. (See lists.) Began entering identifications March 28, 1939 with #2672 on: all in this book now transferred to proper localities & families complete.
