Notes on Transcribing this page (optional)
Any help on deciphering how to notate the [[7 divided by 2 dots]] ?? mandc: what you see as seven divided by two dots is actually "ij" with two dots above a dash mark, not a division sign. Rx quatities are written in lower case Roman numerals, i for 1, ii or ij for 2, iii or iij for three, iv for 4, all with the dash between the letters and the dots. "aa" means "of each of the above."
This section can be used to communicate any questions or concerns to Smithsonian staff, as well as other volunteers, about this transcription. Do not use to transcribe extraneous notes made by collector or other institutions.
