[[preprinted]] THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 1865. [[/preprinted]] the morning fair & the Day throughout Beautiful a large Detail left the Hospital for the Regiments but returned again to the Hospital as no transportation could be procured. ordered to prepare for Genl Inspection but no Inspecting officer came received a letter from G B Lewis the Regt in a raid & at Eutah springs when he written. written a letter to miss S.E.A. Sergt Jones GB Lewis my Brother Corprl Mcfarlin & J. H. Day [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 1865. [[/preprinted]] The rising sun betokens fair weather & a tolerable warm day. The Detail again left the Hospital & this time was more successful. taken with a chill in the morning & confined to bed all day. a report circulated that Maj Genl Sheridan had arrived at the Head also that arrangements were being made for peace. immediately.
