Asks for assistance also for her daughter who is coming to back school; with the request that commutation of of the Government transportation be granted Mrs. Hanly for her daughter Miss. Hanly is a devoted teacher, and has made great sacrifices for the cause. She also needs help in her School. &c &c. Oct. 20th 84 | Vogell H.C. Supt. of Education Oct. 20th returned - Granted for $15.00. | Raleigh N.C. October 20th 1868 Forwards the following request recommending that it be granted: Stephen Moore Bureau Officer ^[[New Bern]]^ who states that two teachers arrived from New York, and asks to be authorized to hire a building that will accommodate four or five, at a monthly rental of $ 15.00 or $ 20.00, Verbal authority has been given, and the promise made that a building would be furnished if the Teachers were sent. October 20th 85 | Vogell H.C. Supt. of Education October 20th returned. - Granted for $8.00 | Raleigh, N.C. Oct. 20th 1868. Forwards the following petition for rental of School building ^[[recommending]]^ that it be granted for the sum of $8.00 per month; Woodson Chavers,and one other of Allensville Person Co. for a monthly rental of $10.00, to be paid to Samuel C. Barnell to commence Oct. 1st 1868. Oct. 22d. 86 | Virginia State of Brown O. Asst. Commissioner Oct. 22d refd. to Capt. E.T. Lamberton for immediate attention. (See V.33 & L 43.) | Richmond Va. Oct. 19th 1868. Forwards (thro. War Dept. B. R. F. & A.L.) communication of J.R. Stone, Sub. Asst. Commissioner, of Oct. 17th 1868. States that nothing has been heard from it. Information requested, as to the action that was taken upon the case, Was forwarded July 9th thro. Bureau Hd. Qrs. and has not since been heard from. Oct. 20th 68 who requests that enquiry be made for Allice Boling ( Cold.) about 10 years old said to be living with Dr. William Tait Statesville, Iredell Co. N.C. Her parents are desirous that she should be with them and will pay the cost of her transportation. Oct. 26th 88 | Vogell H.C. Supt. of Education Oct. 26th returned Granted for $10.00. | Raleigh N.C. October 23d 1868 Forwards the following petition for rental of School building recommending that it be granted: Cutter W.A. for a monthly rental of $10.00. for Freedmans School building at Salisbury N.C. Oct. 23d 89 * | Vogell H.C. Supt. of Education Filed. | Raleigh N.C. Oct 22d 1868. Requests authority for J.D. Black, Esq. asst. Supt f Education, to visit the Counties of Wilson Wash. Edgecombe & others on business connected with the Department.
